Gandanta (Nakshatra Gandanta / Rashi Gandanta / Tithi Gandanta)

What is Gandanta?

Gandanta means the knot, where opposites like fire and water collide. It relates to ending experiences.

Gandanta always takes place between Water and Fire Signs. This takes place at the end of a water signs (last 3° 20’ of the sign) and the beginning of the fire signs (first 3° 20’ of the sign).

The Moon in the Nakshatra Gandanta is particularly powerful, it also indicates that the person born at the end of a Dasha or change of Dasha just after birth.

This area of Gandanta carries inauspicious vibes in it, so is forbidden for any auspicious work. Any planet placed in Gandanta has to face material issues with regards to its significations and house ruler-ship. In short, the period or the life of a person born in Gandanta will be troublesome. This inauspiciousness may adversely affect physical characteristics of a person at birth if born in the Gandanta period, or the adverse effects stay with him for the rest of life also sometimes affecting his or her parents.
